Clinical Microbiology for Medical Laboratory Science

Overview

The Clinical Microbiology for Medical Laboratory Science certificate program provides an additional route for individuals to be trained as clinical microbiologists.

Admission Requirements:

Previously completed baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university with a major in biological science or chemistry or a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university with a combination of 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) of biology and/or chemistry.

-OR-

Current enrollment in the Biology degree program or other baccalaureate degree program at FranU** which includes a combination of 30 semester hours of biology and/or chemistry.

** Completion of a bachelor's degree prior to or concurrently with the
completion

Students are only eligible to take MLSC 4910 if they have earned a bachelor's degree or are earning a bachelor's degree at FranU in the concurrent semester.  If a student is earning a bachelor's degree at FranU and did not hold a previous bachelor's degree that met the 30-hour science coursework requirement, this course must be taken in the last semester of the bachelor's degree curriculum.
