Math Placement
FranU utilizes Math ACT score* or the ALEKS PPL (Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces: Placement, Preparation and Learning) to assess the readiness of college mathematics course work. The ALEKS provides the most recent skill level assessment for proper placement in mathematics courses. Students are allowed to attempt the ALEKS PPL up to 3 times. The assessment must be taken in the Learning Resource Center. In addition to the assessment, learning modules are provided within ALEKS to help the student increase their ALEKS score (if needed) and can be utilized after placement within the mathematics course.
