MATH 0310 Introduction to Algebra
The purpose of this course is to provide the student with the computational skills needed to study College Algebra. Problem solving is emphasized throughout the course. This is a one-semester course covering standard topics such as linear equations and inequalities, polynomials and factoring, rational expressions, radicals and complex numbers, and quadratic functions and inequalities. Students with a MATH ACT subscore below an 18, MATH SAT subscore below a 500, or an Accuplacer Quantitative reasoning score below 250 will be placed in this course.
