BIOL 1315 Biology for Majors I

This course introduces the scientific method, cellular biology, genetics, and ecology. Students will study: (1) the importance of molecules that provide the basis for life; (2) how cells are organized, their function, and mechanisms of reproduction in the context of higher levels of biological organization; (3) the basis and patterns of inheritance; and (4) an introduction to ecology, ecosystems, restoration, and conservation biology.
