GRBO 3320 Great Books Seminar III: The Good Life
It is a platitude to say that we all desire to live a good life. But what is a good life? Is it acquiring wealth? Seeking prestige? Securing power? Is it found in creativity? Autonomy? Authenticity? Love? Virtue? Duty? This course, beginning with the ancient Greeks, will survey diverse answers to this question and hopefully discover ourselves along the way.
