ANES 7220 Anesthesia Seminar 2
This course series will include a comprehensive review of the principles and practices of nurse anesthesiology including the basic sciences (anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, pathophysiology, chemistry and physical sciences); equipment, instrumentation, and technology used in anesthesia practice; general principles of anesthesia practice; and anesthesia for surgical procedures and specialty populations. The course series is designed as an integrated sequence of lectures, clinical conferences, review modules, and seminars that provide an in-depth study of selected advanced anesthesia concepts. Emphasis is placed on the anesthesia implications and management of patients with diverse pathologic complexities. The content covered in this series aligns with the NCE content outline. This series will prepare the student for certification and will be completed over three semesters. This is the introductory course in a three-part anesthesia seminar series.
