Student Health Insurance

FranU encourages all students to maintain personal health insurance. All students are personally responsible for health care costs associated with any injury sustained while enrolled in clinical courses. Clinical students are at increased risk for injury or illness due to the nature of providing health care services in clinical and/or health care settings.

The Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs strongly recommends that all students enrolled in clinical programs maintain personal health insurance and that documentation of coverage be provided to the Office of Health and Wellness.

Students enrolled in the Physician Assistant Studies Program are required to maintain health insurance.

Brochures on some of the insurance plans available to FranU students may be obtained from the Office of Health and Wellness. The exact provisions of each plan are detailed in the respective insurance company's master policy. Students are advised to carefully review the master policy for any insurance chosen, as the policy will govern and control the payment of all benefits.
