IPGC 6315 Applied Biostatistics and Epidemiology

The purpose of this course is to focus on the examination and application of statistical methods, research designs and epidemiologic principles used in health care research. It provides a comprehensive overview of frequently used descriptive and inferential bio-statistical methods. Major topics include contingency table analysis, simple and multiple linear regression, analysis of variance, and logistic regression. The course includes application of theories of measurement, statistical inference and identification of evidence-based guidelines for disease prevention, health promotion and improved patient outcomes.
