BIOL 4370 Controversies in Sci and Med
This course will critically examine various controversial topics in science and medicine, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the opioid pandemic, global warming impacts on human health, CRISPR, and policies in American healthcare. Students will discuss the ethical issues inherent in scientific and medical controversies and develop and communicate related arguments that are grounded in peer-reviewed scientific literature.
